 | | Zbigniew Kosc (1951, Poland) received Ph.D. in social psychology at the University of Warsaw. He was working as a scientific worker at the University of Warsaw and the Free University of Amsterdam.
Later he studied photography and graphic design at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, where he has been based since 1980. As a photographer Kosc is interested in classical cultures, anthropology and architecture. He is especially known for his photographs of Athos, the monastic community in Greece (see ATHOS, Zurich, 1988). He has photographed the ancient ruins of Egypt, Kurdistan and the architecture of such world cities as Florence, Rome, New York, London and St. Petersburg. His photographs have been published worldwide and frequently exhibited in such places as Canon Image Centre Amsterdam, Kunstlethaus Wien and Wereldmuseum Rotterdam. |
