Уважаемые коллеги! Вас приветствует команда международного конкурса для профессиональных фоторепортеров News Photo Awards. A Changing World. Мы имеем честь пригласить фоторепортеров-членов вашей организации к участию в международном конкурсе News Photo Awards. A Changing World, который проводит информационное агентство ТАСС.
Рады сообщить Вам, что срок подачи заявок на фотоконкурс News Photo Awards. A Changing World продляется еще на две недели – до 7 января 2022 года. Такое решение приняли организаторы конкурса для того, чтобы к нему успели присоединиться как можно больше профессиональных фотографов. Первоначально прием работ должен был завершиться 24 декабря.
Участие в конкурсе бесплатно. Обладатель Гран-При получит денежный приз в размере $ 10 000.
Победителей определит жюри, состоящее из 12 экспертов, являющихся признанными специалистами в области фотожурналистики и представляющих ведущие мировые СМИ: AFP, DPA, Xinhua, Kyodo, EFE, Yonhap, TASS и др. Объявление победителей состоится в марте 2022г. в рамках проведения «Экспо-2020» в Дубае, в павильоне Россия.
В 2020 году наша команда уже организовала и провела первый конкурс из серии News Photo Awards. Его темой стал Overcoming COVID. На конкурс было прислано около 4000 снимков от фотожурналистов из 84 стран.

Changing World is being handed the baton from last year’s Overcoming COVID competition.
However, if in 2020 the focus was entirely on the pandemic, in 2021 a broader view of the developments is welcomed, which reflect both the crucial changes in people’s lives and throughout the world in the post-COVID reality as well as key events of this year.
The priority objective of the competition’s participants is to see and address the defining points of the most important social and political processes as well as personal histories against this backdrop.
We are glad to unveil the jury members of the second international contest for professional press photographers News Photo Awards. A Changing World. Twelve experts, representing the world’s leading mass media outlets and who are renowned specialists in photo journalism, will assess the works of the contestants.
And here are the jury members:
- Grigory Dukor, the jury’s Chair, Head of Photo and Video Service at the TASS News Agency (Russia);
- Anna Peralta, Director of Photo Service at the EFE news agency (Spain);
- Wang Jianhua, Director of the Editor-in-Chief Office of Photographic News of Xinhua News Agency (China);
- Kazuhiro Ibuki, Head of Audiovisual News at Kyodo News (Japan), chief photographer of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games;
- Marielle Eudes, Global Photo Director at AFP (France);
- Jae-Mann Bae, Head of Digital News Department at the Yonhap News Agency (South Korea);
- Peer Grimm, Head of Photo Service at DPA news agency (Germany);
- Richard Ellis, professional photojournalist, founder of the Newsmakers news photo agency (USA);
- Stefania Iantaffi, Head of Photo Department at ANSA (Italy);
- Thomas Szlukovenyi, photographer and picture editor, curator at the Archive of Modern Conflict (Hungary);
- Ulli Michel, Director General at the Action Press photo agency (Germany);
- Firat Yurdakul, Acting Visual News Editor-in-Chief at Anadolu Agency (Turkey).
The photo contest’s international jury is led by Grigory Dukor, the jury’s chair, who heads the Photo and Video Service at the TASS Russian News Agency. “We have put together a team of professionals, representing the world’s leading mass media outlets. These are people who not only have an enormous grasp of the trends of today’s photo journalism, but also set these trends themselves. Their deep and comprehensive view on topical issues for this sphere, their artistic taste and ability to see history in each image guarantee a true, unbiased assessment based on years of practical experience,” he said.
One of the jury members, Global Photo Director at AFP Marielle Eudes, stressed that the photo contest places a key emphasis on the essential role of high-quality press photography reporting. Explaining her motivation to join the News Photo Awards team, she said: “Since I was 20, I’ve been always interested in Russia, along with journalism and photography. They really resonate in my heart. This contest is in sync with those things, which are pivotal for me.”
The online vote by the jury to select the best entries will be held along the platform of the contest’s official website.
Joining the contest is free of charge and any professional press photographers working for or collaborating with the media can take part in it. Applications for the contest are being accepted until December 24, 2021. The winners will be announced in March 2022.
