Отбор фотографий - всегда очень творческий, хотя и сложный процесс. Это целая задача, так как нужно выбирать лучшее из лучшего.

За 2020 год я отснял ни много ни мало 76 катушек фотопленки! И было бы ещё больше, если бы не вывих плеча и целый месяц без любимых механических камер: Leica, Voigtlander и Nikon.

Хороших фотографий бывает мало, выдающихся снимков - ещё меньше! В своей «аналоговой сотне» я показываю не те избранные фотографии, что сделаны мной за все время, а именно то, что наработал за 2020 год. Как сказал один из лучших, на мой взгляд, фотографов Андрей Евгеньевич Лыженков: «Хочется показывать то, что снимаешь сейчас!».

2020 год выдался очень странным, и при отборе я пытался оставить самое нужное, те снимки, которые содержат мое стремление к гуманистическому направлению! Снимки, за которые я в ответе как фотограф и как автор включенных в проект фотографий!

Всего было три отбора! Первичный - отбор сканированных файлов по месяцам; количество снимков сокращалось в разы. Второй отбор - перед редактором; фотографий становилось ещё меньше, но по-прежнему было далеко до нужного результата! И третий, конечный отбор - 100 снимков на контрольных листах. Отбор затягивался, хотелось рассмотреть своё фотографическое видение за год и проанализировать его!

После конечного отбора на «контрольках» нужно было выстроить очередность, распечатанные заготовки разложились на полу, где и сформировалась нужная последовательность фотографий.

И вот все готово! В этих фотографиях мои визуальные наблюдения, одиночный ли это снимок, серия или долговременные проекты.
